In 60 minutes…
- One hour — historically often 1/24 of a mean solar day; SI seconds define modern civil hours as 3600 seconds.
- Light travels about 1.08 billion kilometers in one hour (c ≈ 299,792 km/s).
Analogies use common textbook figures (e.g. light travel time ≈ 499 s for 1 AU). They are illustrative, not laboratory measurements.
